I remember that little monster perched on my right shoulder, getting his suck on. Plucked him off and sent him on his way without a concern… in Northern California, ticks are everywhere. I was always getting bit – everyone in the area faced it. And I didn’t know of anyone who had problems – nor did anyone I knew. Yet, here I was… my whole damn torso as red as the lights on your Christmas tree. And that was just the pre-show. When the pain set in… oooohhhheeeeee!
So yeah, let’s talk about how I no longer have any pain, and just maybe you or someone you know could benefit from this perspective.
The short of it, is that I had to cut out sugar, carbs and processed foods completely. I’m talking the healthy stuff too – rice, potatoes, FRUIT. I literally can’t eat fruit because it feeds the bacteria that is associated with Lyme Disease, which then turns into pain like a mofo, as anyone who has experienced it can tell you. So yeah – get rid of their fuel source and you can have relative peace. As much peace as one can have when the joy of fruit and lovely filling nature of carbs have been taken from you!! But I digress.
The other thing that is vital – wherever you are experiencing pain, which has likely resulted in stiffness from you not wanting to use that area – USE THAT AREA. In my case, it was my shoulders, neck, ear, and head. I purposefully stretched, extended, rotated, lifted and used these areas in their *full range of motion*. I sat with the pain and moved through the pain. For me, I had to make peace with the fact that the pain was present, and it wasn’t subsiding at that time. And it was only through using these areas – antagonizing the pain to the point where it was way worse than my idle, rested state – that I found relief. At least initially, until I was able to get rid of the dietary issues that were allowing the proliferation of the bacteria causing the problems.
I would also visualize bringing healing light to these areas as I exercised them and moved through the pain. I often did Wim Hof breathing in conjunction as well.
I supplemented my system with high doses of vitamin C, hemp-seed oil (to alleviate inflammation), and oregano oil (antibacterial that won’t wreck your system like antibiotics).
In summary – through mindful intention, painful awareness and persistence, along with dietary modifications and supplementary systems – you, or your loved one can be free of the pain associated with Lyme Disease. Get on a keto diet, stay positively intentioned and persevere! You got this!
